VRX Dirt Store Ducati Race Team colleagues Tim Neave and Ashton Boughen are on home territory this Saturday for Round 6 of the FIM Flat Track World Championship. The second half of the series gets underway at British venue King’s Lynn, a circuit which is more than familiar for both of the two Ducati riders.

They go into the meeting first and second in the World Championship standings with 109 and 104 points respectively, having won four of the opening five rounds between them.

A third British rider, Jack Bell (Triumph) is their closest challenger in the series on 91 points after his victory in Scheessel last weekend.

For Boughen it is genuinely a local event as he was born in King’s Lynn and rode for the town’s Premiership speedway team last season before making the switch to Flat Track.

He admits his debut campaign has exceeded expectations, and his ambitions are now set on challenging his team-mate for the World title.Boughen said: “My first year in Flat Track has been very good so far. I couldn’t have asked for any better, and let’s see how the rest of the year goes – hopefully I can win the Championship.

“It will be nice to come to my home track for one of the rounds, and it would be good to get the fans here to watch.”Neave has raced competitively at the Adrian Flux Arena earlier this season as two rounds of the domestic ACU series took place there in June, where he and Bell shared the honours. He also went well when the FIM series last visited King’s Lynn in 2024, where he finished in third place behind Sammy Halbert and Ervin Krajcovic.

Previous champions Krajcovic and Gerard Bailo are both in need of big results in Norfolk if they are to maintain their title hopes, with rounds to come in Hungary, the Czech Republic and two in Argentina.

The meeting gets underway at 7pm on Saturday and will be streamed live via FIM-MOTO.TV .
